The λamda Project
The Lamda (λάμδα) Project was founded in May 2018 in Athens, an ancient city with historical roots, as an effort to spread the Modern Greek culture worldwide. We offer modern Greek language classes, as well as the opportunity to choose between several different options related to Greek history and culture (Greek philosophy, ancient Greek, Greek mythology, Greek historical figures).
Our aim is to merge the past with the present…to learn the actual local language/culture/society.
So, you can choose from our wide range of courses for each level. We provide levels from absolute beginner to proficiency. We offer small group classes (from a minimum of 2-3 to a maximum of 12-13 students), starting almost every Monday, with modern and innovative learning and teaching methods, as our goal is a profound and simple knowledge of Greek, through a friendly, pleasant, but also professional, atmosphere.
All our teachers are native Greek speakers with master’s degrees in teaching Greek as a foreign language, and are highly experienced in this field.
As our Lamda (λάμδα) project aim is to λearn the λocal, consequently we are offering you a schedule full of optional activities and excursions, held in the afternoons and during weekends. This is a great opportunity to discover Modern Greek culture, cities, festivals, habits, customs… λive as a λocal.

You will have the unique opportunity of going to the theatre in the city that invented it, and seeing a play on Epidaurus and theatre of Herodes Atticus.

Our school is in the centre of Athens, in Exarcheia area. Is in 5-minute walking distance from Panepistimio metro station.
