Brief description
Since 1982 ILP has been receiving students from all over the world and currently welcomes about 1200 participants each year : students, businessmen and women, senior citizens, school groups ...Highlights of ILP: a personal and warm welcome; adaptability to the needs of each type of student; experience, dynamic, professional teaching staff; selected and carefully screened accommodations.
Location
A dynamic and historically prestigious city, capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, Montpellier is a university town with a population of over 240 000 inhabitants. Located only 8 km from the fine sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, renowned for its cultural diversity: theatre, dance, opera, music concerts…Montpellier is renowned for the beauty of its hinterland and coastal areas and major national monuments : Carcassonne, Pont du Gard, Saint Guilhem, Canal du Midi, Palais des Papes AvignonILP is conveniently located within walking distance of the city’s historical centre, merely steps from the Peyrou gardens, one of the largest open spaces in town.The school is located in a 19th century townhouse and is fully air-conditioned.

Option A Standard course
20 lessons of 45 minutesTwo conversation workshops per weekFilm club We recommend this course option if you wish to combine studies with spare time.
Option B Intensive Course
Standard course option A+ 3 hours of private tuition/week (two 1h30 sessions) The private tuition is adapted to the student’s objectives (working on weak points, learning specific vocabulary – business, tourism, etc., studying for an exam…).
Option C Intensive Courses
Standard course option A+ 5 hours personalized tuition in groups of 5 to 7 students ; DELF-DALF preparatory courses or training for official exams. The afternoon classes are devoted to the training for the DELF-DALF written and oral exams. Previous test books and various specific materials are used in the afternoons so that participants may practise working in exam conditions. Exams are given four times a year in Montpellier : March, June August and November (please check dates). Only the DELF (Diplôme d’Etude de la Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de la Langue Française) certificates of French as a foreign language are approved by the French Ministry of Education.
Courses for closed groups
Schools – colleges – universities – companies – teachers of French as a foreign language… A la carte courses: standard French language and/or specific request courses. A la carte cultural programs including excursions, guided visits, studies, etc. Accommodation (families, hotels, residence inns, etc.) Dates and duration of courses arranged by special request (one week minimum) All levels – all the year roundPrices upon request.
Private tuition
One to one courses of 15 to 30 hours a week. Standard or speciality French. The one to one course is particularly suited to businessmen, diplomats and people working in the tourist industry who frequently don’t have a lot of time to devote to learning another language. Dates and duration of these courses are given upon request (one week minimum). Prices upon request

Activities
Cultural activities:
Excursions are organised by ILP so that the students may discover the city of Montpellier, other sites of interest and learn about French traditions and customs. Guided tours of Montpellier, museums, conferences.
Excursions: Avignon, the Roman Pont du Gard, Arles and the Camargue region, Nîmes, Canoeing down the Hérault River.
Evening outings, wine and cheese tastings

ILP is one of the best language schools in many regards. First of all, the quality of teaching and the knowledge of their teachers are incomparable. This alone can make your experience very satisfying. The teachers make sure one comprehends the grammar points and they have a variety of innovative and fun techniques to put them into practice. All the staff is extremely nice and helpful.
Secondly, the school is in Montpellier, the South of France! Need I say more? It is a vibrant city with lots of charm, great gastronomy, close to the beach, lots of fun places, and very nice people with whom one can practice the language.
