Language School description
ISEFE welcomes the students to one of the most beautiful areas of France and to one of France’s most pleasant campuses. It is the only university institute specialising in the teaching of French as a foreign language in the Savoie region (French Alps, At the crossroads of the main trans-alpine routes from Lyon to Turin and Geneva to Grenoble).We propose 3 trimesters from October to June and we are is a an exam centre for the national diplomas TCF, TEF, DELF and DALF. To complement to its courses, ISEFE offers many cultural, sporting and recreational activities where French students and foreigners can meet.Summer school students will benefit from the wide range of tourist and festive activities which mark this time of year in Chambéry and SavoieISEFE provides housing to all students upon request.
School facilities description

Enrolment in ISEFE courses entitles you to a Université de Savoie card, granting access to the library, sports centre, health care facilities, etc. You must have a student visa to get a student card.- Three trimesters of 11 weeks: September to December – January to March – April to June.- All levels from beginner to advanced.- Semi-intensive teaching programme: 16 or 20 hours per week- General French courses: 16 hours per week for complete beginners and lower-intermediate.- Certificate of Competence in French (intermediate level): 13 hours of general French + 2 hours of a module (French Literature, French for Tourism or French for Business)- Preparation for the DELF and /or DALF exams.- University Diplomas (D.U.) and E.C.T.S. points.Prices :

Activities
To complement its courses, ISEFE offers many cultural, sporting and recreational activities where French and foreign students can meet.
ISEFE students have access to the same services and benefits (sports-hall, library…) as other university students.
Extra Curricular Activities : Summer Events Objectives : social interaction, relaxation, sport; cultural enrichment and discovery of the region; acquisition of vocabulary in real-life situations.
Extra-Curricular Activities - Theatre, cinemas, concerts (at student prices). - University and local clubs and associations. - University sport (including courses): team and individual sports; volleyball, rowing, swimming, orienteering, aerobics, weight-training, mountain-biking, tennis, table tennis, horse-riding, rock climbing, cross-country and alpine skiing. Half and full day trips, usually at the end of the week : - Skiing, snowboarding, telemarking, skating (from November to April).- Hiking or snow-shoeing (according to the season). - Cycling around vineyards with a visit to a wine-producer.- Excursions: Beaujolais nouveau evening at Beaujeu (November), Lyon light festival “Fete des Lumieres” (December); Annecy old town and the Castle of Menthon; Hautecombe Abbey on the Lac du Bourget etc. - N.B. This list of activities is indicative only and subject to modification depending on demand and weather conditions. Some activities are free, others must be paid for. Charges are designed to cover costs. None of the activities are profit-making.

This was a really good school! The staff for international students where helpful, although there was only really one person that we dealt with daily other than our professors. The professors made great efforts to teach and make lessons interesting. If you are wanting real life France and to learn some French along the way, I would definitely sugggest this school!!
