QUALITY STANDARDS
Our courses are of the highest quality and are continually evaluated to ensure that students learn from the best materials, with the latest methodologies.
We are committed to providing high quality English language training in a professional yet interesting, relaxed and friendly environment. Our classes are small with a maximum of 8 students, which enables our teachers to pay individual attention to their needs and ensure they achieve their goals.
TEACHERS & TEACHING
Before students start, we evaluate their level carefully to ensure that they join the right class. Thereafter, we continue to evaluate their progress, discussing any special requirements they have so that together we can make the best decisions for their future.
Our teachers are well-qualified and experienced; they will give them the knowledge and confidence to use their English to the best of their ability. Our lessons are designed around the skills they need and they will practice their structure, reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Students will always have more than one teacher so that they listen and respond to two different voices, and the more they practice the faster they will learn. At the end of their course they will receive a course certificate, which shows their level of English.
LEVELS
We will establish their current level and then show them how to progress and advance their overall level. Their progress depends on the level they start at, their ability and their dedication. In general, to move from one level to another requires an 8 to12 week course based on studying 20 lessons per week.
Elementary - You have limited vocabulary and structure.
Pre-Intermediate - You understand conversations spoken slowly and clearly.
Intermediate - You can communicate in everyday situations but have a limited range of expression.
Upper-intermediate - You can use the language with confidence in most situations.
Advanced - You have an excellent command of vocabulary and all functional language.
GENERAL ENGLISH
General English is our standard course which gives you a good foundation in all aspects of the English Language and is designed to improve your level. Using a course book and supplementary materials you will practice all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH
The intensive English course is the same as the general English course but with the advantage of two extra lessons in the afternoon. This enables you to progress faster. The extra lessons focus on improving your language use so that you can communicate with greater fluency and accuracy.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH PLUS
The intensive English plus course is the same as the intensive course but with the advantage of an extra one-to-one lesson. This gives you the advantage of the group course with a private lesson structured around your needs. This ensures a greater level of individual attention and a faster rate of progress in the time you have available.
ACADEMIC SEMESTER/YEAR PROGRAMME
The more time you have to study the more fluent you willbecome. With six to twelve months of learning and practicing your English every day you can achieve fantastic results. With the academic year programme you can advance through the different language levels until you are proficient.
PRIVATE (ONE-TO-ONE) LESSONS
These are individual lessons for students with specific needs or limited time. Classes are structured around the exact needsof the student and maximise the students learning time.

Student nationalities, average age & average number per class
We are a smaller independent school and therefore don't attract large groups of any particular nationality. Most of our students are 20+ years of age and come to us by word of mouth or through agents and our website which enables a very good nationality mix.
We have students from Turkey, Brazil, Mozambique, Korea, Germany, Japan, France, Reunion, Spain, Switzerland and even Nepal. Average number of student per class is 6.
Activities
Cape Town with its splendid beauty and golden rich culture is the perfect city to learn in, live in and fall in love with! Known as the mother city it lies between the sea and mountains and its natural beauty is impossible to escape.
From the magnificent splendor of Table Mountain, across the white beaches and breaking waves, through the buzzing cosmopolitan city and into the vibrant nightlife…………..your memories of Cape Town will live on forever!
You have chosen the right city, now choose the right school. Based in vibrant Sea Point, Interlink is centrally located, close to shops, the Waterfront and just around the corner from our famous beaches.
Our school is smaller than most and we pride ourselves on a professional approach in a relaxed and friendly environment. Because we are small, the students quickly get to know each other and social circles are easily formed.
Our social program is a great way to interact with fellow students outside the classroom. We enjoy dinners together; Cape Town has some great restaurants. We go for sunset picnics or a game of beach volley ball – the perfect way to end the day.
You may want to join us at a museum, and if music is your thing, come and dance with us in the vibey clubs and bars. The social program is based around what YOU want to see and do.
