IH Cape Town is part of the IH World Organization, a group of 150 Language Schools in over 50 countries, teaching English to both foreign and local students. The school offers a variety of courses such as: Standard, Intensive and Private English Courses, Business English, English and Volunteer work, English and Surf, Online English and Internationally recognized CELTA Teacher Training. Additionally to the English Language courses, the school also offers fantastic tours and social activities. The school is located in Sea Point, which allows students to explore the great tourist attractions, socialize with fellow students and experience the local culture. Sea Point is situated between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean, a few kilometers to the west of Cape Town’s Central Business District (CBD). Sea Point is divided by Main Road and enjoys a bustling 24-hour cosmopolitan vibe with its many shops, restaurants, clubs, internet cafes and coffee bars. Just about everything you need is found in this part of the city and it hums with activity. IH accommodation is also within walking distance from all the hustle and bustle in Main Road. At the school, student have different facilities to make use of, such as computers, Wi-Fi, tour desk, library, outside deck and barbeque area, free regular socials, free net languages for duration of study & Business Centre.

Our location is the first thing that comes to mind. We are situated one block away from the sea and promenade. The school is surrounded with shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Our school has amazing views of the ocean as well as of Lions Head. All our teachers are CELTA qualified, ensuring that students get the best form of education as possible. Ih Cape Town offers English for Specific Purposes such as Oil & Gas and Aviation as well as CELTA Teacher Training. Our staff are all very friendly and helpful. At the school we also offer FREE English Net Languages online.

Our teachers are all CELTA qualified with years of experience. The staff is well trained and will make sure students receive the best possible service and that their visit to Cape Town is extraordinary.

Upon arrival students will be welcomed by IH Cape Town staff followed by handing out welcome bags and making copies of their passports. At 09h00 students will all write a placement test to determine their level of English. After the test, they will do an orientation of the school premises and also Sea Point followed by handing out their results and confirming their classes. It's very important that students bring their passport with them on the first day of school.

Please note that students only do the exam preparation at Ih Cape Town. The exams take place at a different school in Cape Town. It's students' own responsibility to book and pay their exam online. Payment for the exam preparation takes place at Ih Cape Town.

Ih Cape Town is situated in the heart of Cape Town, Sea Point. Situated one block away from the beach, Ih Cape Town is walking distance to the promenade, all bars, shops, restaurants, supermarkets and polupar tourist attractions such as Lions Head, V& A Waterfront, Camps Bay, Clifton and much more.
Ih Cape Town provides free transfers on arrival to students who book accommodation with us. Should they need transfer to the airport on departure, they can arrange this through the school at additional costs.

HOW TO GET HERE?

Public transport such as the My Citi bus, minivan bus and the metre taxis are available in Main Road, right infront of the school. Our accommodation that we offer are all situated within walking distance from the school, makinf it easy for students to get to school. The school is 5km away from the city centre and 6km from the V&A Waterfront.
