IELTS Preparation
Your Orientation program will begin at 9am on your first day. Please arrive at school by 8.30am and bring with you your passport, your visa information, a passport sized photograph for your student card, a pen and some paper.
Lexis Brisbane is widely acknowledged as having the best nationality mix of any ESL school in Brisbane. Generally, nationalities are split at around 30% European, 25% South American, 25% Asian and 20% Middle Eastern. This creates a genuinely international environment for language learning.

OUR AIRPORT PICK-UP SERVICE
If you have arranged airport pick-up through the College, please follow this procedure:
- If you are delayed throughout your journey please call the emergency contact number +61 423 047 170. If we are NOT informed of your delay and our driver has been waiting more than two hours after your nominated arrival flight has landed, we will then inform the driver to leave the airport. You will then be responsible for finding your own way to your homestay and NO refunds will be provided.
International Terminal Arrivals
- Your host family (or pick-up service) will wait outside the designated customs gate with a sign displaying your name on it.
- If you are unable to locate your family (or pick-up service) after a further period of 30 minutes, please ring the emergency contact number - 0423 047 170.
Domestic Terminal Arrivals
- Your host family (or pick-up service) will wait at the luggage collection area.

INDIVIDUAL TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
- The Brisbane airport is about 15 kilometres from the centre of town. If you have not arranged airport pick-up through the College, and require transport from the airport to the centre of the city, there are three alternatives:
Airtrain:
This train departs from the International and Domestic terminals and stops at the major city
Stations. You can reach the train station within minutes of collecting your baggage. Trains run frequently between 5.30am and 10.00pm seven days a week. The journey takes about 20 minutes. The Airtrain costs $16.00 each way.
Taxi:
Taxi stands are located outside both the International and Domestic Terminals.
The fare to the Brisbane Central Business District (CBD) is approximately $40 but may be as high as $50 in peak hour traffic.
Airport Bus:
The Brisbane City bus service operates daily between Brisbane Airport and the CBD between 5.00am and 10.45pm. The cost is $16.00 each way.
HOW TO GET HERE?
Lexis English Brisbane is located in the city centre, just around the corner from the famous Queen Street Mall shopping precinct. Public transport hubs, Central Station (train), Roma Street Station (train and bus), King George Square (bus) are located just minutes from the school which is located on Level 6, 15 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.
You will require a visa to enter Australia. We can provide basic assistance in terms of enquiries however cannot apply for visas for students wishing to travel to Australia.
