    Excellent school! I recommend it!!!
I booked 2 weeks course at Aula Toledo and I had a very good experience. Classes were tailored to my needs and I had 2 different teachers Cristina and Susana. I found both of them very helpful and nice. In addition, their preparation and experience with foreign students was outstanding. I really enjoyed the classes and they helped me to become more confident with the spanish language. They all made me feeling very welcome like if I was part of the 'family'. Maite went out of the way and looked for all free visits and activities that Toledo was offering at the time of my stay. She was always available to answer my questions and to look for more information for me. Toledo is a very nice and interesting town, it is also very safe and definitely it is worth to visit. The school found for me a family that offered a nice room and that made my stay very comfortable. In addition this helped me to speak spanish outside the classroom. I will probably return to Toledo for a more advanced course as I had a great experience.

    Fantastic School
I spent a week in Aula Toledo and loved it. I was worried before the course I might not enjoy it so only booked a week, but I honestly wish I'd booked longer. I will definitely go back in future. The location, course and teacher were all fantastic. I originally chose a group class but switched to 1 to 1 lessons that were really helpful. The city is lovely and very close to Madrid, so it’s easy to get to/from the airport to the school, or if you just wanted to spend a day visiting Madrid that’s no problem. 100% recommended!

    Esperienza indescrivibile

    Great Experience!
First of all, Aula Toledo is in a great location. Toledo is one of the most charming cities I've been to. The school is in a very nice building close to the cultural center of town. I was there for 2 weeks. The first week was 1 on 1 lessons and the 2nd week was with one other student. I think my Spanish progressed significantly in that short amount of time. The teachers were attentive and receptive. I stayed with a family which also a great experience. Toledo is a great town that you can easily spend lots of time exploring.

Toledo responde a nuestro deseo de que todo lo que nos rodea es fundamentalmente una aventura
Loving languages and cultures I decided to go to Aúla Toledo (in Toledo)for a week last may 2016 and have a good time. Victor, my host-father, was waiting for me at the station. His wife Nuria and their children Nacho and Natalía completed the family. My Spanisch family! Making my homework a littlebit for my private clases at school and spending a marvelous time during the week in Toledo all pieces of the puzzle came together and fall into place. My teacher Isabel helped me conversating in Spanisch and she made me read short stories and that worked well, allthough many times I was elsewere in my mind ;-) The director-and princess- of Aula Toledo was Maite and she was our guide throughout the week. Maite, my teacher Isabel and another teacher named Christina infected me with their passion and enthousiasm for the language and the city of Toledo. I was very interested by the history of Toledo and I made a trip through time. Every single building of every street has it's own interesting story. And thanks to my friend Cervantes I have met Don Quijote for real. In an authentic shop Santo Tomé, seeded at the Plaza Zocodover, I've bought the best mazapan ever. I imagined the loud noise of the busses passing by in the street was the horrible roar of dragons. When someone ask me now about Spain, then I will say that Aúla Toledo is the fabulous adventure that everybody needs once in it's life.

Me gustaría ir otra vez. Opinion de Martina, Viena, Austria

Great week in Toledo and at Aula Toledo
A fantastic week all round! I live in Spain and have a fairly good command of the Spanish language, but I wanted to further improve my level, as well as consolidate what I already knew, and Aula Toledo certailny came up trumps. Cristina, my tutor, quickly spotted where I needed to improve and created a course especially to suit my needs. Lessons were fun and engaging, and I now feel far moire confident. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were willing to go the extra mile to help with any queries. I can thoroughly recommend Aula Toledo, where, whatever your level, you will be treated and catered for as an individual. Toledo itself is a beautiful city, oozing with culture, history, and great restaurants. You will not be disappointed.

I would thoroughly recommend this school to anyone learning Spanish at any age. The welcome and teaching was tailored to suit the class perfectly. The school itself is in a fantastic location in the heart of Toledo - which is a amazing city to be in. I had a great week thanks to Aula Toledo and Maite, the Director.

    Wonderful city, great school
My wife and I wanted to combine a week's holiday with a useful learning experience. Aula Toledo was the perfect way to do this. The city was really beautiful and Maite and Isabel devised a personalised course to improve our Spanish. The lessons were difficult but only because it is almost 50 years since we last went to school. Isabel was very patient and made the lessons fun as well as informative. Maite's tour of Toledo was very interesting and helped us find places to visit and eat. I would thoroughly reccommend this school.

    Totalmente recomiendado!!
I recently spent one week studying in Aula Toledo to prepare for my B2 DELE exam. On my first day I was made feel very welcome by the Director, Maite. I was provided with information about my classes prior to arriving in Toledo but I was also provided with tourist information on Toledo when I arrived along with a map which was much needed! My teacher, Isabel was always very well organised and has a real talent for explaining the rules to Spanish grammar! I found classes to be fun, interactive and I learned a lot everyday. I also had some classes with Cristina who was as fun and organised and had also spent some time in my home city in Ireland! What is very clear is the passion and interest that all staff have for the Spanish language and to provide an incredible service by making their students feel comfortable in this warm learning environment. I stayed with a host family for the week. Emilio and Marigel made me feel very welcome and at home. Marigel collected me from the train station when I arrived and gave me a walking tour of the area. Each night Marigel made a traditional Spanish dinner and I was encouraged to speak as much as I could with my host family. I spent each day, after class, walking around Toledo which is such a beautiful city. I also studied in the library which I found to be very quiet. I can not recommend Aula Toledo enough. It was money well spent and such an enjoyable experience.

    No hay competencia!!
I spent one week at Aula Toledo and it felt like I should have been there a year with everything I was able to learn! This is all thanks to the amazing teachers who are so intelligent, dedicated, and personable and it is very apparent that the main focus of the school is the comfortable learning of the students. I worked one-on-one for a few days and the teacher completely personalized every single lesson by asking many questions about what I felt like I should work on. I was also in a group setting and I can honestly and confidently say I don't believe there is any competition in Toledo for a better language school than this. I'd also like to point out that the school always ensures students are put into the correct level of class according to their abilities based on a very accurate placement test, which is amazing. Students get a detailed report at the end of the class as well, communicating again the genuine mission of the school; to help the students the best they ca n. Maite López who runs the school makes sure that every single person's experience is a positive and educational one and there is no one and nothing that she misses. She is the most generous person and she organized events and field trips for my entire group, including visiting a Mazapán factory and even going into Madrid for a whole day and visiting El Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía! It would be very challenging to find another school that is run with such organization, care, and commitment, and you will find out amazing things about Toledo that you may ordinarily never have learned! This school was the highlight of my trip and if you are even slightly inclined to learn Spanish it is necessary to go here and it will change your life. One of the best parts of all of Toledo!

    The best learning experience.
I started studying in Aula Toledo in October with an A1 level of Spanish, having never studied it before. Now, after nine months of studying, I have a B1 level of Spanish. I'm absolutely delighted with progress I have made and owe a large part of it to Aula Toledo. From the start Maite, the director, asked what we wanted from the group classes and ensured we were provided exactly that. The classes are taught entirely through Spanish and the students were encouraged to speak entirely in Spanish as well - even from the first lesson. I felt I learnt something new in every class and that all of it was very relevant and useful for living in Spain. Cristina, my teacher, was very organised and professional and she really gave us the highest quality of teaching. Her feedback was fantastic and she took all our suggestions on board. Her lessons were always very interesting and I really looked forward to going to classes. I also had Isabel as a teacher for several classes and she was equally as helpful as Cristina. I can't say enough good things about the teachers in Aula Toledo. Maite was also wonderful. She was very accommodating, even when we had to change our class time due to a conflict with work schedules and she always made me feel entirely welcome in the school. She also speaks English, which at the start for me, was entirely necessary when discussing times for lessons and overall details but by the end we were able to speak mainly in Spanish. I can't recommend this school highly enough. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would go back again in a heartbeat if I was still living in Toledo. (Which is a beautiful city itself.) I had a fantastic experience in this school.

Great place to learn. Well worth the time.
My children (ages 10 and 8) and I spent two weeks studying at the school and made so much progress in our understanding of Spanish and our confidence in speaking. My children had a group lesson with Isabel and she was so patient and effective. She took the children outside where they played games and held contests to learn new vocabulary wh in was very motivating for my kids. I had one-on-one lessons with Sergio. His philosophy is to treat each class like a conversation with an old friend. We would learn a lesson and they practice with conversation. It was intensive but very effective. I am very happy with our experience. And Maite who runs the school was incredible accommodating and welcoming. She made sure our every need was met, even giving us a personal tour of the casco of Toledo. Finally, I would like to say that Toledo is an amazing city to spend time in. Most people come for a day trip and leave but the best moments in Toledo are the evenings when there is so much life in the streets and a variety of restaurants and bars and cafes to visit. Even after two weeks, we still had much to see and the magic of the city never wore off.

    Fantastic teacher, fantastic school
I spent a month learning Spanish in Spain, and for two weeks I took a personalized, one-on-one class from Aula Spanish School in Toledo. It helped me so much, since my teacher taught me the specific parts of grammar that I needed to work on. She also spoke a mixture of Spanish and English with me, and I therefore was able to learn very quickly. I highly recommend this school.

    Highly recommanded !
We sent our children aged 7 and 12 to Aula Toledo. Maite, director of the school, is looking for all her students personally. She arranged classes for both children which were perfect for their individual level. Isabel, our teacher , was perfect for both of them as well. They learned a lot and we all enjoyed Toledo which is a great place to stay and to get closed to Spanish life and history.

I spent a week at Aula Toledo to brush up my Spanish and it was a perfect experience. Maite, director of Aula Toledo, and Cristina, my teacher, were very helpful and made me feel at home. An Absolutely Fantastic Experience!
I recently spent ten days learning at Aula Toledo and was thoroughly pleased from start to finish. Maite and her staff were extremely communicative before and after my time in Toledo, and very professional at all times. The class was taught in a small group setting, with individual attention paid to each student. Our teacher, Isabel, went above and beyond with tons of great tips on how to enjoy Toledo /Spain as well as personalized language learning tools. Toledo is a great place to learn Spanish and the folks at Aula Toledo know the city inside and out. They gave us a personal guided tour of the city and a very helpful info packet with dozens of restaurants (affordable and atmospheric) as well as all the main sites of the city, when to see them, and why they are significant. I learned so much and after a very short time felt comfortable communicating in Spanish. Aula Toledo exceeded my expectations from start to finish and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to discover Spain and the language.

My 16 y.o. daughter and I spent two weeks in February 2014 studying at Aula. From the first time I contacted Maite, the owner, from the minute we all hugged goodbye, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Maite and her team of teachers adapted and adjusted the instruction to meet the unique needs of my daughter and myself. Classes were varied and engaging, homework was appropriate, and humor was always present! Maite also helped us find a perfect apartment for our stay. The entire school staff was welcoming and very friendly. When my daughter caught a stomach bug, the entire staff was so helpful, going out of their way to be sure we were ok. Toledo is a perfect city in which to enjoy learning Spanish. There is so much to see and do and the city is very walkable. You can't go wrong with Aula - you'll love it!!

    My best Spanish immersion experience
Aula Toledo provided a wonderful immersion experience. Maite provided a wealth of assistance prior to my travel to Spain and set me up with the finest host family I could imagine. The language instruction at the school is excellent and Maite provided a tour of Toledo that made me love the city even more. I highly recommend Aula Toledo. I had good study experiences in Salamanca, Spain and in Costa Rica but this experience was the best of all.

    Great experience
I spent a week at Aula Toledo this summer, and it was a fantastic experience. The classes were tailored to my level and well organized with many different activities to keep things interesting. The teachers were great, and Maite was so helpful with organizing the entire trip. I stayed at a nearby hotel, which was very convenient to the school. Toledo was a wonderful place to spend a week and explore.

I have been to other langauge schools and the quality of teaching here is by far the best.

    Perfect combination
I came to Toledo and Aula Toledo in order to refresh my knowledge about the use of the subjuntivo and to practice speaking Spanish. As this is probably not the standard program for a language course, I asked for individual classes and of course for staying in a host family. Both turned out to be just perfect. The teachers at the school put a course together for me, which fit perfectly my level and abilities. Now I only have to use all what I learned there. And my host family - well it was like visiting an old friend! Finally, the city. Well I guess I don't have to tell you what a beautiful city it is and how important it once was for our European culture. And it is really convenient to reach from Madrid airport. It is always worth a visit, but "living" in this city for a whole week (the house of my host family was in the old town 10 minutes away from the school) is a completely different story. Every morning on the way to school I could explore other parts of the town. My absolute favorite was San Roman, located very close to the school, but not for the museum but for the frescos! So, if you want to learn or improve your Spanish and you have some interest for culture - don't wait to book your language trip to Aula Toledo.

    ¡Lo pasé fenomenal!
I first heard about Aula Toledo whilst visiting expo-langue in Paris and really liked the idea of practising my Spanish. This summer, therefore, I decided to attend Aula Toledo. The family who I stayed with were really friendly and they made a real effort to make me feel welcome. I found the classes quite challenging (being placed in the B2) group but really beneficial- I feel as if my standard of speaking and listening in Spanish have significantly improved since taking the week long course. I would highly recommend Aula Toledo to anyone wishing to practise their Spanish given the high standard of teaching and the friendly atmosphere of the school.

Aula Toledo is the clear choice
Aula Toledo's top priority is the student. I studied there for four weeks and enjoyed every second. Every aspect of class was designed to help me and my classmates tackle our problem areas, and by the end of my time there, I felt that my Spanish had improved significantly. Big thanks to my instructor Cristina F. and the rest of the school's team. The class sizes were perfect for studying a language, with plenty of time dedicated to conversation and practice. There were also activities outside of class that were really fun and engaging, like movie nights, games, and tours around Toledo (now one of my favorite cities). One thing I was able to do through the school was schedule meet-ups with native Spanish speakers to practice my Spanish outside of class. Aula Toledo's director, Maite, is incredibly helpful and definitely wants each student to enjoy and take advantage of the experience as much as possible. I highly recommend Aula Toledo, and I can't wait to visit again someday!

I originally came to Aula Toledo expecting to stay and study for four weeks, but after loving the school, the town, and the people so much I ended up extending my trip an extra two weeks (I would have stayed even longer had I not been the best man for my brother’s wedding the next week, and even then I considered staying!) Overall, Toledo is a great city to enjoy yourself and an equally good one to learn Spanish, as the lack of English speakers (and preference for speaking Spanish even among those who do know English) provides for a legitimate immersion experience that in my opinion can’t be matched by bigger cities like Madrid or Salamanca (where it’s much easier to fall in to the trap of speaking English everywhere you go due to the number of expats and English-speaking locals). It’s also less than an hour away from Madrid, so it’s easy and relatively cheap to take a weekend or afternoon trip over there if you decide you want a changeup from the “Toledano” atmosphere. That being said, although I now know that Toledo is a special place, I’d be lying if I said that my enjoyment of the city and my appreciation for all its places and people were not almost directly correlated to my experience and treatment by those at Aula Toledo. For starters, the director of the school, Maite, was absolutely amazing in terms of her kindness and helpfulness throughout my entire experience, whether it was offering me advice on places to stay, eat, and visit both inside and outside the city walls; lending me a Spanish cell phone so that I could talk with people back home much more cheaply than on my own cell phone; or even coming to pick me up and bring me to school after I had gotten lost amidst the streets during the first day of class. She also put me in contact with a number of locals with whom I was able to not only practice my Spanish but also learn a lot about the region’s culture/lifestyle and make a ton of new friends (almost all of whom I have been able to stay in contact with thanks to facebook, whatsapp, and skype!) As for the classes, they were as fun and beneficial as I could have possible imagined, thanks in large part to my knowledgeable, patient, and approachable teacher Christina, who must have worked tremendously hard to put together all of the engaging and useful lesson plans, which along with the tremendously small classroom sizes (which never exceeded two people and for the most part it was just me) provided me with an incredible learning environment that put to shame all those of all my previous Spanish courses (no offense to any of my high school spanish teachers, who were pretty awesome but unfortunately not up to snuff in comparison to Christina). She was also very flexible with what she taught (normally preparing two or more lesson plans for a given day and letting students choose which one interested them more/most) and sought constant feedback from us students to make sure we were satisfied with the experience and to find out if there was anything in particular we wanted to add, takeaway, or change from the course structure. Perhaps most important was that she also gave honest, positive, and constructive feedback to each student in terms of both their progressive and remaining weaknesses, and as far as homework was concerned, that too was very flexible, as she would assign us a certain number of exercises each night while recommending a few more in case we needed or wanted extra practice (not to mention graciously forgiving those who gave a half-hearted or non-existent attempt to the assignment!) In terms of the accommodations, I opted for staying with a host family, and was unbelievably and pleasantly surprised at how amazing the whole experience was. As an introvert who is especially uncomfortable staying in homes other than my own, I was admittedly apprehensive about going this route, but in contrast to the stories I had heard of the greedy and rude Spanish hosts who treated their “guests” with contempt and were seemingly only in it for the money, thankfully my two hosts (a young couple of engaged lawyers who lived within five minutes walking distance from the school) were as respectful, generous, and welcoming (not to mention cool, well-rounded and incredibly humble despite their well-off circumstances) as could be, providing me with full access to their beautiful and spacious apartment; cooking me a delicious gourmet dinner every night while allowing me to practice my Spanish with them as much as I wanted; and sharing with me the nuances of Spanish and Toledan culture while taking a genuine interest in my own, as well. All in all, every aspect of the trip was phenomenal, and if everything goes according to plan I will return to the school again next year (hopefully along with my younger sister and even my mom!), and regardless of whether or not you are the fiesta, the siesta, or the studying type, I would thoroughly recommend going with Aula Toledo to any person interested in an enjoyable, gratifying, and overall worthwhile Spanish immersion experience. -Eric

    Aula Toledo
I have really enjoyed my two weeks studying at Aula Toledo. They are very professional, provide quality teaching and are able to give personalised attention to students. They have helped me to get around the town and took the time to give some nice tips about it. I think Toledo is a great choice to learn Spanish. It's a beautiful small town, very rich culturally and ideal for those who would like to be at a quieter place.

We were a group of three retirees from Finland and spent two weeks at Aula Toledo. Our experiences with the school, the appartment and the city of Toledo are very positive. Aula Toledo is a great place to learn Spanish and especially we were very satisfied with the teachers patience when we had our challenges with the Spanish verbs. We can highly recommend Aula Toledo and Toledo. Pekka

    Spanish immersion at its best
Having spent a week earlier this month with Aula Toledo, I would recommend it to anyone serious about improving his/her knowledge of the Spanish language. The team at Aula Toledo provides professional tuition for any level/need and caters for any age group. I studied Spanish some 30 years ago to A level equivalence in France. Within one week, I achieved more than in many months of evening adult classes in England (obviously, catering more for the English) Outside the classroom, Maite went out of her way to make sure my time way used in a constructive manner in this very cultural and historical city, I also joined a guided tour and took part in a couple of language exchanges. My stay with a local resident was also very pleasant and very beneficial. Overall a very good experience. Thanks to Maite, Cristina F and Cristina L

Above expectations from A to Z
That week with Aula Toledo has just been timeless. Not only because it was around New Year's Eve in that cute quiet city of Toledo but mostly because Maite was kind enough to make herself, her team and the host family incredibly available and thoughtful from the very first to the very last minute. Here are some thoughts I've came back to the Swiss Alps with: - There still are generous, lively, positive, responsive people out there and it is so good to meet/work with them; - It is incredible how much one can learn within a short period of time when the teacher is good; - How come didn't I know Toledo before? Thanks again to the whole team and hugs to Maite, Pierre-Yves

Studying Spanish with a historic flair
I took a one week Spanish course at Aula Toledo and I can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a perfect combination of learning/improving Spanish and staying in a small historic town. Even before having arrived I could experience the good service of the school as Maite, the school’s director, answered all my emails quickly and gave me necessary information, e.g. about transport. On my first day Maite took us on a tour of the city which was helpful to receive important information about the city and to get some orientation in Toledo. My classes were well organized and effective and the content of the course was adjusted exactly to our requirements. Due to the commitment of our teacher Cristina we enjoyed every minute, but at the same time our language skills improved considerably. I had interrupted my Spanish education for several years, but because of the intensive training with Cristina I could reach the old level within short time and even improved my language capacity. Apart from school and homework we had time to discover Toledo with its interesting historic and cultural background. I shared a nice apartment with a friend very close to the school in the heart of the city. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at Aula Toledo and the excellent language training. It was a great experience there and if possible once again I will come back.

Best Way to Learn a Language
I have 30 years experience in teaching faculty how to teach. The teachers at Aula Toledo are absolutely excellent. So good, in fact that I just came back from a second program in Aula Toledo. The classes are kept very small so that all of the students are engaged all of the time. They are a constant mix of listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. Maite and all of the other teachers are great at helping you out with any question you might have, not only about current Spanish life, but history, Spanish grammar, and the current "scene" in Toledo. I had a great family stay as well. I had a couple of personal problems that I needed to deal with and both my host family and Maite were extremely helpful in straightening them out. You really can't ask for more in a language school! I would concur with all of the other five star reviews!

    An truly amazing experience
I had the great opportunity to visit the wonderful city of Toledo in December of 2011 to do an intensive Spanish course at Aula Toledo. In the weeks coming up to my arrival, Maite was in contact with me helping me to organise travel arrangements and also to tell me about my host family, which in itself was very reassuring. I arrived at the train station in Toledo and was met by my family who drove me to their home. The home itself was very nice, very near the school in the old city, with my own bathroom and access to WiFi. As for my family, they were perfect. The couple had two children, so the family atmosphere was great, and they not only gave me a tour of the town on the first day, but at each meal time they always engaged in conversation with me in Spanish. The school, and the teachers, were also amazing. I was lucky enough to go at a time when there were very few people at the school, and as a result I was the only person in my class for most of the time, although there were other students at the school. While this may seem quite nerve racking for some, I can assure that the atmosphere was very relaxed, and never awkward, thanks to my two teachers, Cristina and Maite. We always had very topical discussions, and the lessons were catered to me, and since I wanted to practice conversation, that is what we focused on while also doing grammar, reading and listening. The schools also helped me to plan activities, such as free guided visits around the city, so I was never short of things to do, and Maite helped arrange an exchange with local Spanish students my own age (16) so I could get to know the local way of life for young people. All in all, the 2 weeks was amazing, and my Spanish improved an incomprehensible amount, from merely conversational, to being able to have a very accurate in depth conversation with natives, with absolutely no trouble understanding or fluently expressing what I wanted to say. If you want to do a language course in a culturally and historically rich city, at a school where you are guaranteed to have fun and improve your Spanish a lot, Aula Toledo is the place to go. Out of the 5 or so language courses I have done, this was by far the best.

Aula Toledo mirrors the remarkable city it nestles in. Located in the historic centre of the city, it is small, intimate and welcoming. The standard of teaching is high and classes are small. The team is headed by Maite Lopez — a charming hostess and talented teacher. Maite has gathered around her a team of similarly talented young women who share her good humour and passion for teaching. Doing business with the school is also easy: transactions are prompt and any changes are dealt with efficiently and fairly. The school is impeccably honest and open in its dealings. There are no hidden costs or attempts to factor in additional profit through delaying payments or withholding refunds. There is a family feel about the school and you immediately sense there is a genuine interest in you as an individual. Everything about the school has a personal touch and it is done with real generosity of spirit. On several occasions, I was helped with personal matters such as credit cards and train bookings and, although not strictly business, this help was offered freely and without demur. Maite also takes particular care in choosing home stay arrangements for her students and placements are excellently matched to the individual's tastes and interests. Having had a few bad home stay experiences this was something I particularly appreciated. My home stay could not have been better and I count my stay in Toledo as one of the best experiences of my life. Aula Toledo is nothing like your usual "pump them through" language school and I'll be heading back as soon as I can. John C. Wellington, New Zealand

    American @ Aula Toledo
Great experience! Attended a two week intensive Spanish immersion course in January. Professors were extremely versed in grammar and practicality, as well. They quickly adjusted to my level and moved forward with repairing bad habits. Quaint school that is very comfortable. Toledo is the place to go to learn Spanish, particularly if you are going to live with a local family which I would highly recommend. It is a small town with a lot of charm that allows you to blend in and experience the Spanish lifestyle. Madrid is a short train ride from Toledo. What really makes the experience worth while is the passion of the staff at Aula Toledo. They work extremely hard to help accomplish your goals. I will return to this school in the near future.

    Good location, good school
Aula was a great place for learning Spanish. Maite and Cristina, my two teachers, were both patient and enthusiastic and made learning easy and enjoyable. Aula also helped me meet local Toledanos who were studying English at the school. It was great to have that opportunity to practice Spanish outside of the classroom and make friends at the same time. I definitely recommend Aula to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

School can be great - in Toledo!
I spent a most interesting and enjoyable week studying Spanish in AULA TOLEDO. Our teacher was super: she made us speak, write, discuss and even teached us grammar and all that with great expertise. We also got a wery good material, a book and CD, which were made with a great professional skill. I´ve used them both many times at home and found them very helpful. Even if I had to work quite hard doing the exercises in the evenings because of my poor knowledge of Spanish, it was FUN! And most delightful was to notice how much you can learn in a week when teaching and learning materials are on high level. The spirit of AULA TOLEDO was free and easy, friendly and jovial, so it is no wonder I enjoyed my school week very much. Toledo itself is a charming city with a special atmosphere and has lots to offer. So it would be a great choice to travel to Toledo to study Spanish at AULA TOLEDO and have an opportunity to enjoy the city of Toledo. Leena Saikkonen from Finland

    Great experience for family travel!
We came to Toledo for two weeks of language class with our two daughters (7 and 11) and a friend of theirs (12). Aula Toledo organized classes for all of us, with lots of individual attention. The classes were serious and covered a lot of ground quickly, while also being fun and entertaining. In this type of language class, the personality of the teachers is so important and the teachers here could not have been more warm and friendly. Going to class was fun--as was the break in the middle of class each morning, in which the teachers took us out to different cafes in the city to have a coffee or the kids' favorite--Cola Cao. We would highly recommend this language school for students of all ages and levels.

During my stay in Toledo there were 2 things that were extremely important, and central to the whole experience: The school itself, and the host family. I am happy to say that for me, both of these were perfect! The host family was amazing: The house was brilliant and in a great location, and all of the people in the family were really friendly and helpful. It was great to return from class each day and have a delicious (and often enormous) meal waiting for me, and I could never have learnt so much without being able to practice speaking with the family. It was also great that they had such a wide range of ages in their family, with 2 sons aged 23 and 26, and a daughter aged 3 who always great fun. For me the school was also amazing. When I had to fill in the questionnaire on my last day, there was a section for suggestions, but I really couldnt think of any way in which the lessons could have been improved. I have had Spanish lessons in the past in the UK, and always found the materials to be poor, and didn't really learn a lot. The materials here were good, and the lessons were fun and interesting, and I think I have greatly improved my Spanish over the past 4 weeks. When I arrived in Spain my host family didn't think I could say anything in Spanish, and to be honest this wasn't far from the truth! After just a few weeks at Aula Toledo I have been able to have lots of interesting conversations with people in Spanish, and have generally been able to understand what people have said to me, and have made myself understood most of the time. Outside of class, Maite has organised lots of things for me to do in the evenings, such as watching films in Spanish, going to concerts, going on tours of the city and having intercambios with students who are learning English. This has been great, because I don't think I would have found any of these activities on my own. For me, the best part of this whole experience has to have been all of the lessons that I had, especially in the last 2 weeks when I was the only student in the class. My teacher was excellent, and we got on really well. She was really easy to talk to, and always showed a great amount of interest in what I had to say. I'm going to miss her a lot! Overall, Toledo is a beautiful city, and the school has been excellent. I have learnt a huge amount of Spanish during my time here, and can't really think of any ways that the course could have been better.

Hello, I spent a wonderful time in Toledo! The two weeks organized by Aula Toledo were so rich! First, I wanted to go to Toledo, because it is a very old and culturally interesting town. The old part of Toledo (el casco) is very nice and you can visit a lot of sites (old Roman bath, mosque, synagogue, churches, cathedral, museum of El Greco and so much more… and there are so nice bars and restaurants). Then, I looked for a language school and found Aula Toledo. Although I organized my time in Toledo very spontaneously, Maite López, the director of Aula Toledo, was very committed and found a host family in a few days. The contact (e-mail) was very reliable I always got help and answers very quickly. The Premium Intensive course (24 hours/week) was very helpful to improve the knowledge of Spanish language. The main focus was communication, but our teachers were always ready to revise grammatical problems etc. if we wanted to do it. Our group was very small: 4 students and one teacher, so we always had the opportunity to talk and our teachers found good and varied occasions to speak about. They were very interested in our persons, our lands…They are humorous people and had a very good sense of what every student wanted to learn and was able to do. We enjoyed the time together! After school I lived in a Spanish family, so nice! They gave me the opportunity to become integrated into their family and were so open to me. They showed me interesting sites and gave me some good advice what to do. And they spent a lot of time with me. So I had another good occasion to talk and to learn about the Spanish culture. And it was a wonderful human experience. Thank you so much! ent a wonderful

Hello everyone! I spend 2 amazing weeks in Toledo. I was basically looking for something serious and fun. I read so many reviews and understood that many "schools" do not actually deliver what is required to master a language. Aula Toledo is first all a real school with talented teachers. They really sense the needs of a student and how to help him progress effectively. The program is clear and you can really notice the improvement quickly. I will also recommend a minimum of 2 weeks to really get the maximum of it. The school is as well amazing, very stylish and you can really feel after a while at home. I took the option to stay in a family. Everything was great and I salute the two of them as they were really kind and down to earth. They welcomed me not only as a guest but also as a friend. That makes the experience even richer. Toledo? A great city full of history with amazing food and fun! I highly recommend this school and strongly believe they should deserve much more credit as I can really see the improvement! Be part of the adventure and go to Aula Toledo!!!

Holá! I studied 2 weeks in Aula Toledo and the whole experience was just great! Toledo is a wonderful city, every corner is picture-worthy, and it has a unique and incredibly rich history. To illustrate this, the walls of the room where I lived were made of stones from the wisigoth and Arabic eras and there was a roman cistern in my closet! I've studied in a few language schools and I can tell that the service, the whole registration process, is the best I've encountered. You really feel like you are welcomed. My host family waited for me at the train station and Maite toured with me in the city showing me the main points of interests, restaurants and bars (they are surprisingly many).  The courses themselves are great too. They are centered on conversation, but of course, all the important aspects are covered (grammar, audition, tricks to learn verbs, slang etc.), and meanwhile you learn a lot about Spanish culture. My teacher, Chus, adapted rapidly to my level.  As I said, I lived in a family, wonderful and kind people. The room was perfect (my own bathroom!) and food was fantastic. I practiced a lot with them and it was a real immersion. I made a lot of progress there! My two weeks in Toledo were certainly the highlights of my trip in Spain and I just wished I had stayed longer!!

I enjoyed my week with Aula Toledo and found that I had progressed well in speaking Spanish. I went in late March and there were only three people in class including me so the individual attention given was high as was the level of conversation which brings you on at a faster rate. The school itself was lovely, set in the heart of Toledo which is a must see for it’s architectural heritage and to me this is one of Spain’s best kept secrets. My thanks goes to Maite who kept in touch with me almost until I left Glasgow and of course to Chus my teacher for the week. I look forward to returning later in the year. Eddie from Glasgow

I spent 3 weeks to do a spanish course with Aula Toledo in march. When I signed up for the course I didn't know what to expect but I was surprised by the school when I got there! Aula Toledo is in the best spot in Toledo, right in the beautiful center. The school has the nicest teachers all very experienced but still very fun and young :P they all try really hard to make you feel comfortable and to get the best out of your time in Spain. I also decided to stay in a hostfamily which I also would recommend if you don't want to stay by yourself in a Hostel. The course helped me a lot! Every day i felt like I've really learned a lot and now after 3 weeks I can express in spanish almost anything I need to altough I came to do the course with zero knowlege of spanish. In the end I can just recommend it to anyone who wants a nice personal school with the possibility to learn a LOT of spanish!

I spent a delightful week in Toledo AND souped up my Spanish courtesy of Aula Toledo. I felt incredibly lucky to receive so much individual attention to help me iron out some my (many!) pesky grammar problems. The teaching staff clearly knew what they were doing. Aula Toledo struck me as very well organised, efficient and reliable, sending me plenty of information prior to my arrival as well as sorting out lovely accommodation for my stay. The city of Toledo itself is incredibly beautiful - photographs on the web don't really do it justice. A true gem if you love exploring European history and geology. I will definitely be back for more.

I have just completed a one-week course at Aula Toledo and must say I was totally satisfied with my experience. The teachers are well-qualified, the methodology is modern, and the class size is small, so that the students get a lot of personal attention. The focus is equally on improving conversational ability, building vocabulary and on understanding grammar. I was particularly struck by the friendly atmosphere at the school and the efforts they made not only to improve our language skills but also to expose us to the culture and history of the city. Almost every afternoon we accompanied a teacher on a short walking tour of one part of the city, so that we got to know the town better. The family stay was also very good as a real effort is made to match students with their hosts. I recommend the school whole heartedly!

If you are looking for a Spanish Language School in Spain I recommend Aula Toledo. I spent a wonderful time at Aula Toledo (Jan 2010). I found the teaching methods here extremely stimulating, challenging and highly interactive. The one to one teaching I had was perfect for me and I know my Spanish reading, listening, writing and speaking skills have all improved. Perhaps most importantly at the end of the course I have attended, my confidence is high because I made a lot of quick progress with my Spanish. Furthermore, I have enjoyed my stay very very much. The school is like a family, teachers are very welcoming and professional (it was a pleasure coming into class each afternoon to be greeted by an enthusiastic smile), and Toledo is a wonderful town! I hope I come back in Toledo as soon as possible!!!

It's the best place to study the Spanish language and culture because you are in the heart of Spain. There are not many English speakers in Toledo which gives you the true Spanish immersion Plus the small class sizes mean you'll learn tons!

AulaToledo was very efficient in teaching spanish and concerned that I advanced in my spanish learning and knowledge about Toledo through the tours that are constantly taking place there. I enjoyed it all very much and the school environment very pleasant. Robert Wouterlood(November)

I had a wonderful experience in Aula Toledo. The school is very organized and the teachers very competent and always ready to help. Toledo is a great location. We did trips to Madrid and other towns in La Mancha, inland Spain. It has been fantastic!

I attended Aula Toledo in the old quarter of Toledo for three weeks and loved every day. It is small and so each student gets more attention from the teachers. There are lots of free activities after class. Toledo is very well located, we have travelled around inland Castilla. A fantastic and different experience!!

I was looking for a different place to improve my spanish away from busy places like Madrid and Barcelona. Toledo is a fantastic town! You can walk everywhere, food and drinks are cheap. The teachers are very helpful and friendly. They use very good language resources. I am glad I went to Aula Toledo. Being inland is like living the real spanish way of life. I can say that NOW I speak spanish

Last week I completed an intensive 2 month course in Aula and it was just great. I found the classes hard at first(always fun in the end) but the teachers were very understanding and I now feel very confident with my Spanish. The school itself has so much rustic character and Toledo is more personal(and beautiful in many ways) than a larger city. Overall it was a great school and experience.

I only found out about the school one month before leaving Toledo but I am glad that I that I found it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to the school and I feel that the classes have made me more confident with my Spanish and made me more aware of the mistakes that I make so easily when writing and talking in Spanish.
