Cronopios Idiomas is a Spanish Language school located in the heart of Madrid. We are a growing business established in 2012, with 9 classrooms, 14 co-workers and hundreds of students per year from every corner of the globe. Spanish is becoming one of the most popular second languages to learn in the world, and as such we attract students from every single continent. We see a lot of people who come here for language travel, or expats who have come to live in this spirited, cosmopolitan city.
NB: We are currently also offering online courses, contact us for more details!
WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS?
We find that our students broadly fall into three categories:
Language travellers: There is often an issue for students coming to learn Spanish that they can end up in a bubble here in Madrid, either one of just people of their own country, or their own age group. This does not really facilitate learning the language and being exposed to the local culture and people. With our approach we draw people out of their comfort zone and encourage them to try new things, to have a truly unique experience, to find out that they can grow through learning a language.
Expats: We attract students from all over the world, unlike other schools who often focus on certain demographics we have quite an even spread of nationalities. We tend to attract more discerning students who don’t immediately opt for the larger and more publicized schools. Instead we see those who have looked a bit further and realized that our prices are in fact usually lower but because of our organizational structure we offer qualitatively higher, and more personalized services. We have students ranging in ages from 17 to 77, as such we are not a school that caters mostly to any age group, but certainly to those who are really motivated to learn.
Those seeking to attain a degree at a Spanish university: In order to be admitted one needs at least B2 Spanish language proficiency. We are specialized in preparing students for the official language exam, whether someone comes to us as an absolute beginner or with some grasp of the language. And subsequently students can take the exam right here in a familiar environment as we are also an official ‘DELE’ examination centre.

LEISURE
The school offers an activities programm for students to meet each other, relax, and discover the city all whilst practicing their Spanish outside of class. The activities are included as part of all the courses as an additional service the school offers, but attendance is voluntary. Every weekday afternoon once classes are over there are different activities such as walking tours, museum visits, trying out tapas, or language exchange events.
