EC Cambridge English language school is the only language school in the heart of the city centre. Established in 1983, our English school is located in a beautiful historical building and is surrounded by colleges, cafes, shops and attractions of Cambridge. Just around the corner from the main building is the Student Services Centre; here you can find computers, library facilities, a quiet study room and a student lounge to complete your student experience in this prestigious university town. The school, with its 9 classrooms has a very comfortable atmosphere and as soon as you arrive you will begin to feel part of EC Cambridge.
WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS?
In 2008/09 EC Cambridge had students of 79 different nationalities. At our English school we pride ourselves on the diversity our nationality mix. We try our hardest to make that there are always a number of different nationalities in our classrooms. The minimum age of students at EC Cambridge is 18 (16 in low season).

LEISURE
As well as high quality English lessons, you can expect a variety of social activities that will keep you entertained during your stay. EC Cambridge offers some free activities and optional activities like trips to other Englisg cities, theme parks and even golf. Whatever you decide to do, you can be sure you will be well supervised by our social leaders who are dedicated and professional.
Visa Information
When you have booked your course, we will send you all the paperwork and give you all the support you need to apply for a visa.
How to get there
EC Cambridge can arrange airport transfers to and from Stanstead, Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick. Transfers to and from central London are also available. All you need to do is give us your flight details and arrival time. Students must book transfers in advance.

My experience in EC Cambridge was one of the best experiences of my life. Everything has been great, teachers , courses, and I even managed to pass the FCE. I was living in a student house , which was nice but would be better if it was a little less expensive considering the quality of the interior fittings. But overall I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience to get to EC Cambridge .

The best time of my life!
I studied at EC Cambridge for 7 month and the only thing I can tell you guys is that this place is absolutely amazing. Not only is Cambridge an absolute beautiful place to live with its old colleges, parks, nighclubs and proximity to London but also because of the hundreds of friends from all over the world you meet and make, which makes Cambridge one of the best places to live. Trust me, you will be having one of the best time of your life! The EC staff are very helpful & friendly. Regardless which issues you have (if any!) they all do there best that YOU enjoy your time in Cambridge. Interested in Musicals in London on a Wednesday evening? Or in a two days tour to Edinburgh? Just go to Mike (this guy is awesome!) and book it^^. But what about the teaching? The quality of the teaching is very high standard. I had the strong impression that all of our teachers made a huge effort in order to push us (me & my classmates) onto the next English level. If I would recommend EC Cambridge? Definitely! :-)

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
The first time I went to EC Cambridge was last June when I attended the IELTS class. The teachers were extremely great, therefor I’ve decided to study at EC also for the CPE. At EC you can meet lots of students from all over the world, which helps you in expanding your knowledge. Moreover, the city is lovely and offers a lot of attractions, like punting on the river, museums…and if you are a night owl, you might enjoy several pubs as well!

Je suis partie pour mon deuxième sejour linguistique à Cambridge avec EC, car il offrait le meilleur tarif pour une prestation semblable à d'autres organisme. La ville est très sympa,il y a beaucoup de parcs et un centre commercial sympa, ou l'on peut aller pendant le temps libre. La résidence de Jesus college était super, il s'agissait en fait de loger dans des petites maisons avec d'autres personnes et un "leader" qui est generallement un prof ou un membre du staff, je consaielle cette ville car elle est parfait pour un premier sejour et sa taille est parfaite

My name is Jonathan, I'm from Switzerland and I'm staying in the Cambridge EC School for 3 months. I have already had 3 weeks of English courses in this school, and really enjoy the life in the City. The school is not to small, but very busy. It's not a good point, because all the different classe levels are opened and you can meet a lot of people. The most of the teachers are funny, that makes the lessons enjoyable. The city is also absolutely lovely and tiny. The average of the student's age is probably over 20, but the some rules of the school don't consider that we are not children.. You can visit a lot of colleges, and go punting on the river for free with the school. There is a lot of bars, night clubs and restaurants which are all in a walking distance. If you like peaceful atmosphere, you can walk along the beautiful river or go in one of the many green parks. It is a very good choice, sure !

I have been here for 3 weeks, and I stay until half-december. 3 weeks isn't a lot, but I already got used to this city. This is a lovely city! I like to take pictures so for me this city is a good place for photo shoots. And with EC school you can do some free activities. I enjoy this, because you can visit the important things in the city like King's College Chapel or go punting and you can meet some other people of the school who are not in your class. I really enjoy to going to the lessons! More than when I was at high-school! The teachers are very motivated to teach us something, they are here if you have a question and lesson often take place with laughing. In these conditions it's good to learn, and I hope I will pass the FCE exam. If you want to learn english I can recommend you EC Cambridge, you will enjoy this experience!

My name is Kevin and I come from Germany. I will stay in Cambridge for three months to be prepared for the CAE exam, I will finally pass. What I really appreciate about living in this town is ist cosiness, not only in the town but also in the EC school, which is located in the very centre of Cambridge. Everything seems to be very familiar and everybody is friendly to each other. We are teached by really good teachers, what means that they are competent and motivated. One is able to learn fast in this international atmosphere, provided that he is willing to learn after school as well. Another good thing about EC is, that excursions are offered by the school, whereas some of them are for free. I really enjoy my time here and I can recommend it to everyone.

Almost over my second week here in Cambridge, so far I only have complements for my teachers and EC staff. All the teachers seam to hace extensive knowledge about several countries and cultures, which makes everything so much easyer. They are aware of the dificulties you may or may not have and are willing to help under any circuntance. The city is a magestic place. So far we only had sunny days, although that is not usual. You can find food in reasonable prices, much cheaper then London. I am staying at the Hills Road residence. Great place to be.

Cambridge is a great city to learn English, or just to practice in case you think you know so much, cause you never know enough of a language, well maybe only if you're a native. Anyway, I'm enjoying my stay so much. It's being a terrific visit. I loved punting. My teachers are fantastic. Bell is so nice, I've learnt loads of vocabulary with her. Mark is very funny and his classes go so fast. And finally, John is a great master, he nearly knows everything and I can find no place he hasn't been to. I'm really looking forward to my next week, and meet my new ones. The residence is quite good too. My mates are so cheerful and sympathetic. However, the central heating doesn't work. As you can see, EC offers you a great chance to spread your English!

I have been to EC schools in London, Brighton and Malta and they are all good but EC Cambridge is the best. EC Staff are very good and the management is fantastic. The lessons and teachers are the best of any school I have been to and the activities are very good aswell. If you arrive to London and you have to search the bus to Cambridge, if you don`t know your hostfamily nor any other people it can be a little bit fearful. You don`t know if it is very good or if you should go back home. But during the first day you will have a lot of contact with students who are in the same situation as you and you get to know that the teachers are great so you can look forward to a nice language stay. After one week the most of the people say: I`ve got a lot of nice friends and I went out with them to cool clubs and the next weekend I will go punting and and and... Cambridge, the EC school and the other students will make you so happy that you can be glad to have decided to do a language stay at Cambridge with EC school. I chose EC school thanks to lots of advice from my agency. And as a matter of fact, I haven't regretted choosing this school at all since I came here. Teachers in this school have got a great plan and education system to make sure that your English can defenitely be better. What's more they are so experienced that they know exactly what you should do in your language level. If someone are hanging around to choose a language school in cambridge, I strongly recommend studying in EC school!!!

To be honest, the school is great ^^, the staff are warm, helpfull and funny. We have a lot of diversity of lesson, so you can choose specific courses. We teacher are helpful and understanding, we are in small group, so it easier to understand the lesson and improve your English. More, you can move your level, because you can pass all the month a level exam, and going to a more dificult level. Finaly, i'm happy to learn at Cambridge EC school, because more that learn english, you have in Cambridge, many distraction and excurtion, that you can take allone, or with the EC staff, it is a ideal student city for a ideal student life.
