Where is Edinburgh?


Edinburgh is the capital and second largest city in Scotland, the northernmost country of the UK. The city is situated in the south east of Scotland on the Firth of Forth and is near to the eastern coast and the North Sea. Edinburgh is a large city but not too large, with around half a million people living here.

The Old Town is the Medieval part of Edinburgh, whilst the New Town is the Georgian-built part of the city, and full of great shopping. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
