I'm really glad I did Habla Ya! The classes were very interactive and I learned a lot of Spanish very quickly. My teacher Simon was very hands-on and helped me increase my fluency at a great pace. He was very attentive and made class fun! Classes were well planned and incorporated different types of learning. We even visited a coffee shop. Although I was in a group class it felt very hands-on and productive.

My husband and I just returned from a week in Boquete, Panama where we attended classes at Habla Ya. My instructor, Leidys, was a perfect match for me. She listened to my goals and tailored the course to maximize meeting those goals. The classes were taught completely in Spanish, which can be very intimidating, but I am convinced that it the best way to learn. Leidys was so kind and encouraging. I was very hesitant to speak, but after Leidys made me feel at home by talking about things we could both relate to, I started speaking more. Leidys never made me feel foolish, even though I made many, many mistakes! We stayed with a host family who lived a short and beautiful walk from the school. They were kind and encouraging. We enjoyed taking them to dinner our last night and watching them salsa! We had a private bedroom and bathroom in their beautiful home. Staying with a family contributed to our learning. Boquete is a charming town. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful. We rented a scooter our last day there and explored the mountains, waterfalls, and all the natural beauty Boquete has to offer. I hope that Leidys continues to teach at at Habla Ya because she is the perfect teacher. If you find yourself in her class, you are very lucky. My husband liked his teacher as well. We agreed that you really can’t go wrong studying at Habla Ya. The teachers and staff are kind and professional and they want you to learn and have a wonderful experience. We did! You can't go wrong when you choose Habla Ya as your school to learn Spanish. All of the staff and professors are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Class sizes are small so there is no way for to be overlooked. I had a great experience and I especially connected with Stephany, my professor. Stephany is vibrant and has a fun, interactive way of teaching so you really understand.

Had a 3 weeks classes in Habla Ya and it has been a wonderful experience. I stayed in family with Rosalina which is an excellent host and she helped me a lot to learn Spanish quickly and know more about Panama... Really recommended it! Both Yabla Ya Panama and Family Stay with Rosalina :)

Coming to this school has not only taught me spanish but, also taught me things revolving around different cultures and nacionalidies. The school enforced me to practice my spanish everyday and to attempt in making minor mistakes to perfect my spanish in a quicker manner. Overall, my experience at the school has been an excellent ride, and I hope I can return soon. My teacher Ana was a great example and constanly taught me new things without restraining me and also encouraging me to reach my full potntial, she is also fun and brings out the best in the students, I would recommend Ana to any level student.

I had an awesome experience with Habla Ya in Panama, City. My teacher Stephany was THE BEST Spanish instructor I have ever had! She was very patient and encouraged me to not be afraid to make mistakes while learning to speak Spanish. In just 2 short weeks my Spanish improved tremendously. I highly recommend combining the individual lessons with the group lessons. The individual session was helpful because it gave me one-on-one practice and tutoring on areas I needed more support in. The group sessions are designed to help you improve conversationally and allowed you to connect with other people in your same level.

My experience at Habla Ya Spanish School in Panama City, Panama was Excellente! Professor Stehpany is a wonderful teacher with a great personality! She provided my one-on-one lessons and set daily objectives that allowed me to get the most out of my 2 week stay. She made the class so much fun! I am now much more confident in speaking Spanish and definitely will continue learning. The other staff at the school were also very friendly and offered several activities to help students experience Panama.

I was so impressed by the staff at Habla Ya. What a great experience I had. Alex was the perfect teacher for me. Right away I felt comfortable, even though I had difficulty with my Spanish, Alex made me feel right at home. We hit it off right away. Spanish was hard, but I looked forward to my classes each day and I feel like I learned so much.

I was only at hablaya, panamá city for one week and I feel like my spanish has gotten better already. I took clases from 2:00 – 6:00 pm from Monday – Friday and I enjoyed every momento of it. My profressor was very attentive to each students’ needs and used a pace that was very helpful. Every day of class was so much fun! I stayed with a very awesome host family where I got to practice my spanish even more. I can’t wait to return to hablaya and continue learning!

I took 8 weeks of group Spanish classes. The school tries really hard to meet every students needs. After the first week you are asked to fill out a short review about how comfortable you are in your class and with your teacher. My teacher was Ana, she was super nice and an awesome teacher. I started on the A1 level (no Spanish) and she got me on level B1(conversational Spanish) within 8 weeks. Ana was able to work with the little knowledge I had of Spanish and increase my knowledge through a variety of grammar, reading, and writing exercises in class. Additionally, Ana always tries to connect these tasks with real life Spanish experiences. Within the those 8 weeks, Ana was able to allow myself and our class with a variety of excursions to the Smithsonian, the mall and a bunch of restaurants to practice my Spanish in public. Overall, this was one of the best experience I have had while learning a new language and I would definitely recommend this school and Ana to anyone that is wanting to learn Spanish in a real world setting.

Me encantó mucho hacer clases en Habla Ya. La profesora Stela, que todo lo tiempo estaba disponible en ayudar , enseñar y corrigir, fue de una atencion muy rica, muy profesional. Persona ejemplar. Todos son muy atentos con nosostros. Hice clases en Group 4 Course y lo recomiendo, fue muy importante para mi desarrollo. La carga horaria es fuerte, pero tiene que hacer para un importante crecimiento en hablar español. Las instalaciones de la escuela son buenas, pero hay pocas cosas, detalles, que puedem mejorar. Los recomiendo!!

Nachdem ich in Bocas bereits von der Habla Ya Sprachschule begeistert war habe ich diese auch in Panama-City besucht. Auch hier hatte ich einen kompetenten und unterhaltsamen Lehrer, der mir die spanische Sprache auf spielerische und verständliche Weise vermitteln konnte ohne das Langeweile oder Lernstress auch nur im Ansatz eine Chance hatten, was bei meiner Schwierigkeit Sprachen zu lernen keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Ich habe gute Fortschritte gemacht und hatte Spaß dabei... was will man mehr?!

I learned a lot at this school. My professor Yarixell is an amazing professor. Not only did i learn more Spanish but i also learned a lot about Panamanian culture. My homestay with Debra was amazing. We visited various parts of panama. With the Spanish that I learned at this school I’m able to apply it to work settings. If you attend make sure you do your homework and talk to as many people as possible in Spanish.

I've taken forever to write this as I've wanted to be sure I do the school enough justice. I spent two weeks in Panama City and two in Bocas and started off knowing nada! I took group classes in both cities however, I was lucky enough to be the only one in my class for majority of my time in the City. Which leads me onto my teacher Stella. An AMAZING teacher, person and woman. As well as teaching me the standard syllabus teachings, we would have long conversations in Spanish about life, my time in Panama etc etc and I feel this helped me greatly and enabled me to gain confidence. As well as being a great teacher, she is so funny and full of life. I thought I would dread 4 hours of one to one classes, but I looked forward to every one, because she made them so interesting. I cannot applaud her enough and will never forget her. The ONLY disadvantage of the Panama City campus is the group classes being from 2-6 or 1-5 or so (Can't remember). This made it really hard to do any activities in the morning or early afternoon as you'd have to rush back for class. Major kudos to the girls at reception too! They are doing an excellent job. They would often pretend they couldn't speak English in an attempt to encourage us to speak Spanish. Thank you ladies! My final two weeks were in Bocas Del Toro. My teacher here was Yeremy - surprisingly young teacher - and I say this as his teaching methods were so good! You'd never believe how young he is. Our classes were so engaging and well thought out by him. Every class was different and I loved it. We'd do Spanish exercises, games and have conversations both in the classroom, at the local hostel lounge area or the beach. Was perfect really. Yeremy did really well to take us from A1 to A2. Finally, I must applaud the standard of home-stays the school has selected. Maybe I was just lucky - but both families I stayed with were absolute gems. Different lifestyles, but so warm, happy and welcoming. Fell in love with both families and I'd say they definitely contributed towards 50% of my love for the experience.

I have taken Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires, Cartagena and my hometown of Seattle. Grammatically speaking, I'm a perpetual intermediate-level speaker. Yet, I live in Latin America, which means I learn vernacular Spanish every day. When I decided (once again), to clean up my bad grammar, I signed up for sixty hours of private lessons at Habla Ya in Panama City. I asked for a teacher who could adapt to my peculiar knowledge base, and plan a strategy to fill in the gaps. I was very fortunate when I was handed over to Judith Barrett. She quickly assessed my weaknesses, and customized a curriculum that both challenged me, and made me feel successful everyday. Her lectures on grammar were thorough, and she answered my never-ending questions with patient clarity. Languages are tough for me, and Judith delivered a productive and supportive classroom environment. Important for me, Judith also speaks English. I have taken enough classes to know that I learn more when Spanish grammar can be directly compared to English. Judith is an expert at the differences between the languages, which makes her highly effective for English speaking students. Too many schools are rigidly immersive, and that is definitely not the best way for me to learn. Hable Ya has comfortable classrooms and a good location. It's close to the metro, and just a short walk to Via Argentina in El Cangrejo. It's a good quality school in the heart of the city, and I would recommend it to anyone coming through Panama City.

April 2016 What a wonderful way to get started with learning Spanish. Everyone was so helpful and eager to give us the whole Panama experience they had activities for us to do in the evenings, they arranged for us to stay in a Panamanian home so that we could use our Spanish in every day life. Bladimer was my teacher and only spoke to me in Spanish so it was so exciting when I could understand and I learned so much. I understand more than I can speak but it was wonderful to work with Bladimer he was patient and very helpful. I hadn't used my Spanish in 50 years. There are so many people that I want to talk with and this gave me the confidence to keep it up.

I went to Panama City for my first solo international trip and I loved this school! Habla Ya is something I really wanted to do, especially since this is a country that speaks predominately Spanish. I wasn't spoiled with the luxury of many people speaking English so I had to brush up on my spanish again. I was rusty since I havent done a lick on Spanish in 11 years...but Habla Ya paired me with Nohley who was a great teacher. I eas nervous because the majority of my lesson was completely in spanish. I took a 4 hour course but it was worth more than I ever took in high school and college. I highly recommend this school. Great energy and learning experience.

I found this school cause I wanted to practice my Spanish. When I arrived in Panama City my level was very basic. I started a 80 hours class and now I am fluent! I am living here so I can't speak about hosting, but I found everything I needed. They organized events, dinner, trips and sightseeing... My teacher was competent but also nice, funny and she find every day a new way to impress me and to involve me. I had class every day, every morning, it was hard, yes, but such a satisfaction now that I can say and understand everything! So thanks Bellalina and thanks Habla Ya!

In February/March 2016, a friend and I attended 2 weeks of Spanish classes at the Habla Ya School in Panama City. I was impressed with the DELE levels approach that the school used including systematic teaching and authentic communication activities to practice the language structures, and we had fun! We were lucky enough to have a class of two and Bladimir as our teacher. It was very satisfying to learn language structures/grammar and to immediately put them to use communicating in class and in the Spanish environment of Panama City and our homestays. We got to know some of the other Habla Ya teachers and they were all pleasant and enthusiastic about teaching Spanish through communication activities. We had fun going as a group on an excursion to Casco Viejo, the old town of Panama, and using Spanish on a treasure hunt of landmarks. It was also fun getting to know other students at the Habla Ya school. There were interesting people from many countries with a variety of ages.

I spent four weeks studying at HablaYa while living in Panama City and the experience was fantastic. Ezequiel , my teacher and Director of the Panama school (I believe) , is unbelievably passionate about teaching and making sure all the students at the school are getting the best experience possible. He is an incredibly enthusiastic and patient person (essential qualities as a teacher!) and always had time for his students when they needed help - both inside and outside of the classroom. The school has activities - including salsa classes, film nights and sightseeing - organised on every single night of the week, and everything is done with a smile. Overall an amazing experience, and I cannot recommend the school or Ezequiel highly enough.

I am retired and living in Panama. My wife is Panamanian and is very fluent in Spanish where I never used Spanish before. I needed to take lessons but I was very hesitant on where or when to sign up for classes. I had seen information about "Habla Ya", but at that time they were located in Bocas del Toro and I live in Panama City. However, recently "Habla Ya" opened a new facility in Panama City were I saw they were advertising with a special for Panama residents. The location is very convenient and they do have limited parking at the facility. I signed up for introductory personal instruction for 60 hours. I had no idea about Spanish (except for a few overworked phrases from the movies) and I found the classes were structured to introduce me to the language. The syllabus is very well organized and the instructional book provided is easy to follow and understand. My instructor, Bellalina Batista, is well educated in the Spanish language. My instructor understood my difficulties with trying to grasp a new language and set a pace that I could maintain. I met other instructors as well and they all have a deep understanding of the language. I had an excellent experience with "Habla Ya". Through them I have a good foundation to understand Spanish and I am able to communicate on a very basic level with others.

I took a 4-week Spanish course with Habla Ya at the Panama City campus in Sept of 2015. I had over 100 hours of instruction during my 4-weeks , and over 100 hours of additional practice outside of the class. I really enjoyed everything about my experience with the school and with my host family. As a woman traveling alone, Panama City felt very safe and they was plenty to do alone or with other students and teachers. It seemed like Habla Ya took special care to make sure I had an excellent experience. My instructor Bladimir was charming, friendly and encouraging. My host family challenged me to use my Spanish every day! The Spanish teachers were very skilled and I enjoyed both my class time and activities outside of class with the instructors. Any one of the teachers could be an excellent ambassador for Panama. I came away with a good understanding of Spanish and of Panamanian culture.

Hace algún tiempo termine las clases con el profesor Sergio. No puedo olvidar lo profesional del profesor ni la eficiencia de la escuela HablaYa. Hay muchas cosas que me gustaron mientras estudie aquí, lo que me gusto mas era el trato especial 100%. El horario es cómodo, la enseñanza tome en cuenta mi experiencia anterior y preferencias en los ejercicios, actitud siempre con cortesía y ética. I took a Spanish course with Habla Ya at the Panama City campus. I really enjoyed everything about my experience with the school. Both the teachers and the staff were extremely friendly and took every opportunity to get to know me and spend time with me outside of class. Everyone at the school seemed to really like their job and enjoy working with Spanish students. During my time at Habla Ya, I worked with Sergio, Ezekiel, Victor and Ruth. All were very skilled Spanish teachers. Their experience working with students showed in their patience, their clarity and ability to engage their students in conversations and activities. I watched sporting events with Sergio, I had profoundly deep conversations about life and world events with Victor, and I joked with Ezekiel in our free time. However, what impressed me the most was how eager they were to spend time with me outside of class. On weekends and weekday evenings, teachers such as Sergio, Ezekiel, Katherine and Judy would spend hours chatting with me in Spanish. They each love being ambassadors for Panama. Each member of the staff at the Panama City campus took my Spanish education personally and wanted to see me succeed. Thanks to Sergio, Ezekiel, Victor, Ruth, Leidy's, Katherine, Judy, Angie and Carlos!
