Learning with fun in a private atmosphere
I used the opportunity of a two weeks' educational leave to improve my English at Kurus in Cape Town and have not regretted it. As announced, the classes were really small (first week 5 people / second week just me). Learning was definitely fun! The excursions give everyone the additional possibility to practise English by listening and speaking and also to learn things about Cape Town that are not part of the usual sightseeing.

The best language school in Cape Town!
If you look for the perfect place to learn and improve your English, than Kurus English is the right address. It is a beautiful language school with highly qualified teachers. The school facilities as well as the accommodations are amazing. I very much enjoyed my time at Kurus and due to the awesome Kurus team I was able to quickly enhance my English which hab been pretty bad. The lessons and exam preparation were so good that I even passed the CAE Exam at Level C1. I can highly recommend Kurus English.

We had a wonderful time at Kurus in Cape Town. It was not only successful for our English skills, but we also got to know so much about the city and its surroundings through the excursions. The whole team was super nice and made our school time as pleasant as possible. We are looking forward to coming back!

Join Kurus - one of my best decisions ever
More than happy I am to have spent 2 wonderful months in Cape Town and at Kurus English. It was particularly for the language excursions they conduct in addition to classes that I had chosen this institute, and they in fact turned out to be amazing and offered a welcomed insight to many of CT's and SA's sites and aspects. And during classes, I could definitely profit from my professional, motivational and humorous teachers, who prepared me best for my Cambridge Advanced Exam. I am really excited about the lessons and warmly recommend this small but precious school to any future students of any age. The whole Kurus team was like a fantastic family for me and my fellow students. Thanks a million times for having made my stay an unforgettable experience. Wish KURUS further great success.

      Learning and fun!!!
It is quite dificult to find the balance between learning and fun. However, in my experience in Kurus English one could say they really have created that balance. It was very interesting to see how the language excursions work - integrating the language with the culture and the reality of the country. It was a great learning experience and also different. Kurus English has a very profesional adminstrative team and a highly qualified teachers team who make all that possible.

Cape Town -for me- A Cape of good memories
When I went to Cape Town I had a couple of exceptions how it should be. And Kurus English exceeded all of them. I went there to learn something about the culture, the people who living there ,Traditions and so on and not at least to improve my English. In Kurus English we learned English while we having fun either with the teachers or other members of Kurus English, the people we visited on our excursions and the guys from coffee beans routes. So it was very easy to improve our English in such a nice atmosphere and in such a nice country. Also the language excursions in the afternoons were very helpful to learn to speak English and to understood the different kind of meanings a sentence can have in the right way. At leaste i just can say thank you to Kurus English for helping to get self-confidence by speaking English !!

Great time in Cape Town! :)
Kurus English offered our group of 12 people an excellent time in Cape Town. Additionally to great "indoor classes" where we dealed with grammar, skills and of course a lot of talking, they offered the opportunity to do language excursions, which means we could get in touch with a lot of South African people and we also saw almost "every side" of Cape Town. :) The team was great, very welcoming and we could always come to them:) So I definitely will recommend this school! And thank you, Kurus English, for this wonderful time!

      Time of my Life
I spend two weeks in Cape Town and I have to say, that two weeks aren't enough to see everything. Before I came to Cape Town, I hated English as a subject in school, but when I visited the Kurus-English-school in Cape Town, this Feeling changed completly. I loved to speak and to talk in English. The teachers are very friendly and supported me to improve my English. The lessons are very interesting and the the school is very well organised! The language excursions gave opportunities to talk to native speakers, which helped me a lot to understand cultural and historical aspects of South Africa better. Thank you: Kurus English for this fantastic and awesome time in Cape Town. Hope, that I have the chance to come back! I really enjoyed the best time of my life in Cape Town! Thank You!

2 weeks in Cape Town / at Kurus English
I highly recommend this language school! There are a lot of reasons, e.g. the teachers who really show their interest in helping and improving the students, which I really appreciate. And, which is also an important point - Kurus English does not only do English lessons inside but also "lessons" outside the classroom. We did a lot of amazing excursions where we were able to get to know the culture, the history and the people living here - and, of course - use the language. I definitely would come back here and also recommend it to my friends. Thank you for all these wonderful experiences!

During my two weeks stay at KURUS in Cape Town i had an amazing time. The family environment in the little school is wonderful. After ten minutes time in the school the ice is broken and you chat to everybody as you know each other for decades. The teacher, Gavin, is a lovely person who provides you all the time with information to improve all your english skills as well as your knowledge of South African history, culture and habits. Time flys when he is teaching you! To be honest, i was deeply impressed and i can recommend this school to everybody who is interessted in adult education. Thx a lot to KURUS Daniele

Have you had fun at school? To improve English and have a great time, go and visit KURUS. The have got ambitious teachers who not only know about grammar and vocabluary but are interesting to talk to. What would you like more? Diana und Johannes really take care for a perfect organisation, so you don´t have to bother with looking for accomodation, transfer to airport and things like this. Instead you can find out more about a very vivid and beautiful city, Cape Town really is. Full of ideas, challenges, innovation, music, fashion. COFFEBEANS ROUTES will show you during the language excursions in the afternoon. I left a suitcase there. There is always a reason to improve English :-)

I stayed two weeks at KURUS and there were only one more student in the class that was very good for the learning progress. Hi, Learn a new language always is a challenge but when you find the correct place and people who wants to help you, the challenge becomes in a amazing adventure. I studied at Kurus English School in Cape Town and I really enjoyed the private lessons and languages excursions as a nice adventure. The teaching system in this school helped me to improve my language skills. Grammar lessons and all the teaching strategies gave me the opportunity to practice the language in a real context. All the details in the School made me feel comfortable: the design based on colors, the service, classrooms and the beautiful view of Table Mountain through the windows. But the best thing and the most important in this School is its People. They are a great Team. I also want to say that Cape Town is a magical city and perfect if you want to learn English. I found a lot of fun in winter visiting restaurants, concerts and festivals; all the cultural life in the city is interesting. Spring is special for walking in the gardens like Kirstenbosh, visiting Winelands is amazing and whales in Hermanus are the best part. Summer is fantastic!!! Many beaches to enjoy, boat trips and surf. Thanks Kurus for this wonderful experience!!!

Hello, I had the pleasure of attending the "Kurus English School" for two weeks and it was just awesome! From my point of view the learning concept ist really outstanding - in the mornings classroom lessons and in the afternoon (my highlight) language excursions. That's definitely not only the trivial way of learning but it combines learning English with getting to know the culture, the people, the ways of living etc. Moreover the premises are really nice, the teachers are over-average capable and I always looked forward to the next day. I also want to mention that Cape Town is a really amazing city in general but especially for learning English. Improving the language skills by visiting the Table Mountain, having a fantastic dinner with live music or going on Shark Cage Diving is simply great!! I want to thank the entire Kurus team and Coffeebean-Routes for its work, all efforts and all experiences! You are doing a brilliant job - keep going!! Patrick

Hey, I had a 2 weeks general english course (without the afternoon excursions) and I must say, I had a great time at Kurus English! I had the best teacher I can imagine and even though my level was quite good, he managed to still enhance it. Beside the fact that I´ve learned a lot (with only 2 other students in my class), the atmosphere was always very intimate, I´ve been introduced to everybody and there was always somebody to help me whenever I needed assistance. Cape Town is a beautiful and most amazing city, where it is real fun to learn english! What I personally enjoyed was that you can actually see and experience the history, there are the sea, the mountains and a bunch of activities to do...my idea of Africa dramatically changed since I´ve been there and I warmly recommend this experience to anyone who doesn´t want to do the always same USA or UK experiences. Cheers, Jessica

The English lessons were well organized and I experienced that learning a language can be easier if you combine lessons with excursions. See and experience a different culture, learn more about the people and the country of South Africa... all was just amazing and I had a lot of fun with the whole team!! Thank you Kurus!!!

Hey everybody! I loved the two weeks in Cape Town with Kurus English! The connection between the lessons in school and the language excursions is a new, better way of learning English. It was a great experience to discover the wonderful town with the possibilities to visit the townships and the table mountain, for example. Every activity was very well organized by Diana. Many thanks to Kurus for the wonderful time, the lovely Kurus team with Johannes, Diana, Michael and our lovely teachers Nicky an Gavin! =) Jana

Hello everybody, I totally agree with Flo. I can confirm every point he mentioned. It was such a great time. And without the school we wouldn't have seen all these special things, like some special people and the culture. Please give Kurus English the chance to surprise you with a wonderful stay in Cape Town. Thank you very much for everything. Best wishes, Daniel ;-)

Hi everybody, thanks for the fantastic time we had in your school. I didn´t know that learning grammar can be fun, but you proved that this is possible.. The excursions in the afternoon are a great opportunity to practice the language by simply talking to locals. And beside that you learn very much about the culture and the history of Cape Town and South Africa. Thanks for everything!!

Hello Kurus-English Many thanks for such a great time! Very good is the combination of themes and the methods how we were taught. There are different precious impressions I’ve got. In Germany there is an expression “Ein mal sehen ist besser als tausend mal hören”, it means „you can really good know how something is when you’ve seen it, not only heard of it“. To other people I can recommend to travel and enjoy the time in S. A., in Cape Town and at your school! Many thanks to all team members! Best wishes, Tereza

It’s not only a school it’s more like a place to be. All starts with the call still before your travel starts. That’s the point they start testing your speaking-skills and giving you a trusty feeling to lose the fear of the unforeseen. A little advice for you, take the window-sit on the plant to see the landscape and the table mountain , it’s a unforgetful moment. Yet you now, it’s gonna be legendary. Every day is a hard planed day to show so much of the culture and the city cape town. If you’re back in your hometown and you see the seam like I, the only you’ll think is –I’ll be back- I learned more about the language, South Africa, Cape Town in all of the versatility and the history of all them as in my holy school time. You can do whatever you like, if you’re fit at school and take your feedback-face on. If you ever had a opportunity to check out kurus English get your chance and enjoy the party. Big thx to kurus and coffeebeanroutes miss u all Jan feb- mar 2010

Being experienced with language schools myself long ago I had the opportunity to take a course again with Kurus in lovely Cape Town. I dare to say that there is nonesuch school again, at least in Cape Town! The teachers are authentic, skillful and caring. The method is motivational because it combines grammar lessons with language excursions quite every day, to stabilise the vocabulary just learned, not mentioning the insights these excursions give. For me it is clear: Kurus English gives best english teaching in the most beautiful city of the world.

We learned English many years ago, our level in this language was very low. Then was born a fantastic idea. We flew to Cape Town two years ago. Because we could remember: Kurus English opened its doors in September. The building, on 70 Wale, is so beautiful. Inside the colors, like a big rainbow, red, orange, green, blue and yellow. The style is modern, fresh and hip, the best place for students “to equip”. The excursions gave us opportunity to discover culture and diversity. The experiences were interesting and very impressive, we met people, amazing and creative. They all were friendly and likable, we always felt so comfortable. We improved our English in the 4 most important things WRITING, LISTENING, READING, SPEAKING! Thank you so much for a wonderful time. We wish you all the best! Margarete and Rudi.

Hello I'm a current student at Kurus English. I'm really enjoying my time at this language school and here in Cape Town. During my stay I've met a lot of nice people and other students from around the world with whom I have a lot of fun. My teachers are really great. In the meantime there are more friends than teachers for me, but of course only outside the classroom ;). The whole Kurus team is friendly and very helpful. They help me in every life situation, weather I need a flat or I struggle with some bureaucracy. It is great. So I can definitly recommend this language school and the great parties here in Cape Town :)

This school is outstanding. Kurus English is undoubtedly a language school that deserves to be awarded 5 stars. When this school boasts with shiny words like cultural experience, discovery and uniqueness - there couldn't be another school that would fit better to these criteria. The team is young, spirited and ambitious, the school's appearance is impressingly refreshing and the linguistic training is not less than on a highly-competent, demanding academic level. Entering the school, you feel a kind of warm, familiar atmosphere - quite unusual for a school - and therefore, Kurus English is the most remarkeable and outstanding language school, I've ever visited.

You don't need to be shy of speeking English, because everybody supports you and encourage your selfconfidence. The Language Excursion were very interesting and I experienced a lot of Cape Town and its people even though I have been here for only one week. The organised host mother was also very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the time with her and her cat. I'm happy about the great time!
