Australia’s fourth largest city, Perth, is a popular and fun place to study abroad. There are great beaches and great weather to enjoy, lots of outdoor activities, a vibrant nightlife, café culture, and loads of sports to watch, perfect for language travel students!
Western Australia’s largest city, Perth, is a wonderful alternative for a study abroad destination. Perth is renowned for its relaxing lifestyle yet it has a vibrant nightlife and lots to see and do both by day and night. Language travel students can enjoy the coast, the beaches, the mountains, and more when you study abroad in Perth.
Perth is in Western Australia and is situated on the Swan River in between the Indian Ocean and the Darling Mountain Ranges. It’s the largest city in this part of Australia, and the fourth largest city in the country with around 1.6 million inhabitants.
Perth is well known for its great beaches that are never over crowded and are clean and safe, and swimming is a popular pastime. Language travel students can have fun relaxing on the beach at the weekend, or enjoy one of the many other outdoor activities that are so popular in this city. There are many great parks here such as Kings Park where you can walk and cycle on the trails, or enjoy seeing the wildlife at Whiteman Park. Perth Zoo is also popular, as is the Aquarium of Western Australia.
Perth has established itself as a great place to attend a foreign language school if you enjoy the café culture! There are many excellent cafés where you can sip a coffee and people watch in the city, or go to one of the city’s popular entertainment spots. Perth has many immigrants, especially of Italian origin so language travel students will fit right in!
Spectator sports are very popular here, and there are many different sports that you could become a fan of when you’re attending a foreign language school in Perth! Apparently Australian Rules Football, cricket, soccer, and netball are the most popular sports. The famous Red Bull Air Race is also held in Perth and great fun to watch!
One of the best things about study abroad in Perth is the great weather! Being in the Southern Hemisphere summers are from late December to late March and February is usually the hottest month of the year. Winters remain mild and warm too though so this makes Perth a great study abroad destination all year round.
